My 1st Halloween

Abigail had an interesting weekend. She traveled to Canisteo, New York for a wedding. For those of you who didn't know Canisteo is the home of the living sign. Apparently a bunch of trees that were planted years ago and spell the word Canisteo. If any of you were lucky enough to meet Alan Witherow at our wedding you will be interested to know that he burnt down this living sign which is the pride of his hometown. Good going. The wedding was enjoyable. Congratulations and Best Wishes go to Alan and his new wife, Jessica. Abby was the hit of the weekend. Both families want to have grand kids and so all were desiring to hold the little girl. It was also an eventful weekend because Abby had her first hotel sink bath. She has had other bathings but always in the comfort of her own tub. As you can see our desire for her to be clean didn't coincide with her happy demeanor. Just to let you know these sinks are quite slippery...be careful. She did quite well until she decided to pee on Emily's leg during the drying off process. This happens frequently during bathing adventures. We just can't seem to get the diaper on quick enough. And don't worry, we got plenty of good photos for embarrassing moments later in life. We'll keep those hidden for a little while.

Abby has been enjoying her first holiday celebration in style, thanks to Grandma Lee. Becka would be so proud seeing as it is one of her favorite holidays. Happy Halloween everyone!!

Yea Abby!

Abby likes to chill, unless it's, say, 4:00 a.m.

A rare glimpse into the Lee Family Music Night. Abby participated by sleeping quietly. She was rocking and rolling in her dreams.

A rare shot of mom and the baby.

Abby's first trip to Catawba College, Emily's alma mater. This is one of Emily's professors.

And here's our neighbor, Mr. Brewer. For 90 something he's pretty cool.

Abby is two weeks old today. Unfortunately I had to go to work a week ago. I'm a little jealous that Emily gets to spend all day with our little girl, but I think she's enjoying it more than she thought she would. It seems that she treasures all of these things in her heart.

Little Abby's not all grins and giggles. She likes to fuss, especially if it's about 10:00 at night, or say 3:00 a.m. when she likes to party.

Emily and I agree, though, that even when she's crying she's still the cutest baby you've ever seen.

Myself, I think she could be in magazines or commercials or Wal Mart ads. Believe me, we'd take the money.
