Durham Life & Science Museum

Obviously this picture was taken at our house. We moved things around and have definitely helped the good energy flow around our house. Not only is our house more feng shui-ish but it also feels like a home. Now we just have to work on the rest of the house. Step by step people. During our moving process, Abby did puzzles and ran around like crazy.

Our new favorite place to visit is the Durham Life & Science Museum. We have a membership, which costs about the same as visiting the place three times. We have already gone twice since getting the membership, so by our next visit, the membership will have paid off. Anyway. The museum has an indoor activity and interactive part, which is really cool. We haven't spent a lot of time there though because the museum also hosts Bears, Lemurs, Wolves, a Butterfly House and a bunch of different insects. Our favorite right now is the Lemurs. We got Abby a stuffed Lemur named Lennie. We have also named two of the other Lemurs for the Museum, their names are Lonnie & Linda.

These pictures reflect Jason's favorite part of the place. They explore the sound of different bells and drums and how they sound outside. So they have hung bunches of bells, and drums, and xylophone (is that how you spell it?) keys, and tons of other stuff, and then they supply the kids with pieces of wood to hit the different instruments with them. It is pretty cool but gets really loud.

Also there is a pretty awesome jungle gym/play area. Abby's favorite is the sand box but we run all over the place. Wait let me rephrase that. Jason and Abby run all over the place.

Response to the request for pictures

Here we have a lovely shot of Abby eating the sign we made from Michigan Grandpa for his birthday. It was a long process that hopefully produced some laughs for the recipient.

One of Abby's closest friends, he lives right down the street is Dakota. Here you will notice that Abby is about to hit Dakota on the head with a wooden spoon. She is not the nicest person all of the time. Luckily Dakota was not hurt. Abby and Dakota spend time together at Ms. Hazel's house, when the parents are a work (aka camp)

Abby is also apparently picking up some life skills. On this particular day she walked around the house with the phone up to her ear. She would say hello much like Matt does. It kind of sounds like 'lo. It is funny and yet kind of alarming.

This is our favorite past time for Abigail. DRAWING. She loves the bright colors. She has also been experimenting as to how the bright colors look on the walls and the glass windows, and in our regular books as well as on paper.
It is fun to see her creations. If anyone would like an Abi-masterpeice, please let us know, our refridgerator is getting full.
