Check back here periodically for updates and pictures of Abby and her proud parents.
We got told that it was time for a new Abby post, and so we are meeting the needs of our readers. Abby is doing well. She will be 6 months old on March 26th. This is a very exciting milestone for Ms. Abigail, and for her parents. It has been 6 months and we haven't done anything too horrible to her. Seriously though, she is doing well. Her newest fad is to start chewing on everything. She gnaws on anything that she can get in her mouth. Below is a ring from her play gym thing, which she still loves, although she enjoys sitting up rather than lying on her back.
Abby wakes up each morning in a good mood with lots of smiles and giggles. She is reaching out to touch faces and spends the morning looking really cute. It definitely makes it hard to get ready for work in the morning. Although when ever we hear her poop in the morning, one of us usually makes a run for the shower so that we don't have to change her. I'll admit that it is usually me who
lets Jason change her and I go shower.
Abby is spending more time on her belly in hopes that she will be a crawling baby. There is a little boy at daycare that is a butt scooter. He never crawled, he just scooted along on his butt. Now he is walking. Speaking of Daycare, Abby is doing well. I believe that I said before that she is no longer the youngest. I heard from Jody & Amy(our infant room teachers), that a bunch of the older boys will be moving up into the next room. Actually the might be opening an interum room called the wobbler room, because the kiddos are walking but not quite up to toddler standards. So Abby will have some new friends soon. Although I am not quite sure what her boyfriend, Beau thinks about it. It is really cute. Beau comes running up to us when we get to the room and wants to give Abby a hug and a kiss(which entails resting his head against hers) All of the little boys love her but Beau the most.
Abby is smiling frequently. She still has other parents who come down to see her after they drop off their older kids to the toddler room. She got to hang out with Uncle Bob a couple of weekends ago. He gave her the coolest Elephant toy. It sings and lights up. Way cool. Anyway, we took a walk around camp with Abby in the backpack, explaining camp to Uncle Bob. We had a great weekend, although it was hard to get a good picture of both Uncle Bob and Abby.
As always we are trying to help Abigail along as much as we can academically. We read to her, not on a regular basis, but occasionally. At this point and time she is more interested in eating the books than reading them. I am thinking about publishing a list of the books that Abigail has so that we can avoid repeats, because we love books and it is always a great gift. Below we are reading an Eric Carle book. Abigail enjoyed it.
