The Past Month....

The past month has been extremely busy for us here in Henderson. We have been baking in the Heat and trying to survive with only one room air conditioner. Naturally we have been spending a lot of time in that one room. Especially on those days when the heat is too overwhelming. 115 with the heat indexes... That is HOT. Abby is doing well. She is crawling all over the place. She has the regular crawl and then the super crawl, where she zooms across the room. She is really quick. I am constantly impressed. She is standing using the table but not on her own yet. Abby has many different expressions as well. The following picture is Jason's current favorite. I enjoy it as well. She just wants to make sure that no one forgets about her. This past weekend Jason , Abby and I headed up to Ohio to meet up with some friends to go camping. Although extremely hot we had a great time. Abby went for a long walk to the beach, and then went swimming for the first time. I am not sure that she liked it. We'll keep working on it. She got to go canoeing. I am pretty sure that she hated it, seeing as she cried and screamed the entire time that we were out on the water. It wasn't very relaxing for the rest of us either. Additionally, it is highly difficult to go camping with a 9 month old. They are every where, trying to get into everything and wanting to eat everything they can get their hands on. Luckily we had Alien Bob to distract for the most part.

Abby was a little tired when we got home!

I remember camping with Aunti Sue when she was about 14 months old. It wasn't any easier then! We went to Lake dunmore but had not made a reservation so of course there were no sites available. We hiked up to the falls of Lana and spent the night under the picnic table. The boys were under one and John, Sue and I were under another. The only ones who slept were the boys. Sue was up all night trying to crawl out of the box we made with our bodies. The next night was better in the tent!
