Check back here periodically for updates and pictures of Abby and her proud parents.
Ok, Ok, Ok, I get it. It is time for me to play catch up on the many different things that have happened in the past couple of months. I can't even remember if I have already posted this picture or not but it a good one, so it will be Ok if I have. This is the picture to remember Abigail's first steps. I believe it might have been like her sixth or seventh but it'll count just the same. Since the beginning of her walking days she has done so very deliberately and with focus. She quickly moved from a couple steps here and there to full blown walking machine. Actually within the last couple of weeks she has been asking to go on walks. She will find her jacket and go to the door and wait for us to get our stuff together for a walk around the block. Sometimes she is patient but not always.
Daddy and Abby reading on the couch sofa cushions in the middle of the living room. This has also become a daily occurrence. Abby will get a book she wants to read and bring it to you. Sometimes she goes page by page but more often than not she skips to her favorite part. In the book
Russell, the sheep, her favorite part is when Russell decides to count the stars. She got some glow-in-the-dark stars from her Michigan Grandma, and when he starts counting the 6 hundred million billion and ten stars, she looks up at the ceiling. In her other favorite book,
While Angels Watch, she likes the picture of the Owl because she says who, who in response to the picture. She used to say oodle-doo for the rooster but doesn't do that much anymore. Both of these are part of her bedtime routine, which she finally has. It only took us 15 months to figure it out.
This was the weekend of the Antique Car Show in Henderson. It was the largest amount of people that I have ever seen in this town. One of the closest restaurants to us is the the Wildflower Cafe. It is only open during the week for lunch and Thursday & Friday dinner, so we don't have a lot of opportunity to go to it. It is actually really good food and a great atmosphere. It was actually open on a Saturday just because of this show and they made some good money. It was packed with people!! Luckily we got a table outside and could people watch, while Abby walked around.
Another picture I wasn't sure if I had posted. Abby got the most out of her costume. She got it in early September and there have been Abby Bee sightings as recent as last week. She had a good time trick or treating with Hazel and the boys at camp.
