Check back here periodically for updates and pictures of Abby and her proud parents.
Well hopefully we can get get the stupid picture thing to work on the blogger website soon. We have a couple of photos to add to help with out description of our first Thanksgiving. The first Thanksgiving was Jason's Friends Thanksgiving. It is a tradition with Jason and his friends to get together and celebrate their friendship and the lasting connections that they have. It is always a great time. This year the celebration was at Jeff and Laura's house in Wisconsin. They are currently living in an old farmhouse. Our flight from NC to Illinois went well until we started looking for the rental place. Since we had gotten up at 3 or 4 in the morning, we were a little testy and didn't really get to the rental place in the most direct method. After a lunch with a camp friend, Nikki O. in Chicago, we drove up to Wisconsin.
We saw our first snow of the season, which made us very happy. Is is pretty much the only snow that we have seen all year. We also saw lightning during a snow storm. I can't remember ever seening that happen before. Saturday was a great celebration, full of food and talking. Laura outdid herself with the food that was made and the conversation was great as always. After dinner and clean up, we had a time of sharing and joy. It is always a good experience to spend time with Jason's friends from college. It usually enjoys lots of laughter, singing and quick banter.
Abby got to spend time with Elli, her friend from the summer, and meeting all of Jason's friends. Some of the best moments of Abby was her sleeping locations--in the backpack outside, on the floor next to the couch and the dog!! It was one of those times when she was playing and then she was out cold! The time seemed too quick and then we were back in North Carolina.
